Our Organic Fairtrade Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract offers the same outstanding flavor and high quality as our traditional extract, but features only certified organic and Fairtrade ingredients. Made using our proprietary cold extraction process, this is an exceptional "all-purpose" vanilla that's ideal for general cooking and baking. Fairtrade Canada, a national, nonprofit Fairtrade certification organization and member of Fairtrade International, is responsible for certifying the beans we use. Blackberry Balsamic Cheesecake Recipe

Blackberry Balsamic Cheesecake Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:
2 large eggs at room temperature
16 oz cream cheese (not whipped) at room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp Organic Fair-trade Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract
4 fl oz Blackberry Vanilla Balsamic Vinegar
1 pint fresh blackberries for garnish
Recipe Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325F. Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper overhanging on two sides.
In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until it is light and fluffy.
Add one ingredient at a time: sugar, salt, cornstarch, eggs and vanilla - beat after each is added until smooth. Pour the filling into the prepared pan.
Bake until set (about 30 minutes) - it will be done when it no longer jiggles when moved. Remove pan from oven and let cool for about 15 minutes. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and placing in the freezer for one hour to harden.
Remove from freezer, uncover and remove from pan using the overhung parchment paper to lift it out. Using a sharp knife, slice into 16 2-inch squares.
Top one square with a large drop of Blackberry Vanilla Balsamic Vinegar, then place a second square on top of the first one. Repeat seven more times.
Plate the eight squares, drizzle with Blackberry Vanilla Balsamic Vinegar and decorate with blackberries.

1 cup apple juice1 1/2 tsp Nielsen-Massey Organic Fairtrade Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract15 whole cloves3 whole cinnamon sticks1/4 cup sugar2 tbsp Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar
Apple Pie Martini Ingredients:
4 fl oz half-and-half
1 fl oz Kahlua
1 fl oz Apple Pie Vanilla Syrup
1/2 fl oz apple pie liqueur
1 cinnamon stick
freshly grated nutmeg (garnish)

Apple Pie Vanilla Syrup Recipe Instructions:
In a small saucepan, add juice, vanilla extract, cloves and cinnamon sticks; stir to combine.Cook over medium heat until juice is reduced by half.Carefully add sugars, cook and stir until sugars are melted; remove from heat.Completely cool and strain before use.Refrigerate unused syrup in an airtight container.To make the martini, add ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass.Garnish with a cinnamon stick and freshly grated nutmeg.

Apple Pie Syrup is also a great addition to a hot mug of apple cider.
